Clock and Trash Day Reminder™ Feature

To help you remember when to take out your trash, the MT-100 series includes a clock and reminder feature. A reminder can be set to whatever time you prefer to take out the trash - the morning of the pick up, the night before, or whenever you designate. The reminder light will flash at the designated time to alert you that it is time to take out the trash. It can be set to remind you either every week or every other week depending on your needs. Simply press a button to turn-off/reset the Trash Day Reminder™. If no button is pressed the reminder will flash for approximately 2 hours. If you would prefer to disable this feature, you may do that as well. The battery icon will blink to let you know when batteries are getting low. Batteries are estimated to last approximately one year with normal use.

Easy-Release™ Bin System

The Easy-Release™ Bin makes it simple to remove even the most over-stuffed trash bag. When you're ready to remove the bag, open the Bin Removal Lid and the Inner Bin will release and expand automatically. No more struggling with stubborn bags. Pull the bag upwards and it slides right out. Then insert a new bag, and you're good to go again. Works with standard tall trash bags.

Easy-Release™ bin is locked into place during regular use, but is also removable for cleaning. Just step down on the foot pedal to unlock if cleaning is needed.

Bag Locking System

In addition to keeping your bin locked until you are ready to empty it, the Bin Removal Lid also ensures your bag is secured in place, even when heavy items are placed inside, keeping the bag from falling in. It also keeps the bag out of sight without having to tuck and hide.

Kickstand

To help keep your Bin Removal Lid locked in place, your Kitchen Bin has a handy Kickstand. Simply pull forward to lock into place. When you are ready to close the Bin Removal Lid, just unlock the Kickstand by gently pushing back.

Foot Pedal - Soft Close Lid

The Mode™ Premium Kitchen Bin allows you to open the bin hands-free, while the soft close feature lets the lid close gently and quietly.

Odor Eliminator - Carbon Filter

The Mode™ MT-100 comes complete with a Carbon Filter to help eliminate odors. We recommend changing the filter every 3-6 months or when you notice it losing effectiveness. To replace the filter, remove it by opening the Trash Lid, sliding out the old filter, and then sliding in the new one.

Stainless Steel Accents

To keep the stainless steel portions of the unit shiny, use a special stainless steel cleaner. For a household remedy, clean the stainless steel portions with club soda and then add shine by putting a small amount of olive oil on a clean white cloth and rubbing the stainless steel in a circular motion.
